Gay Morgan Moore: Over my varied career, have been an ICU nurse, a substance abuse treatment nurse, a counselor, educator, and now a writer. Having grown up in a family with both addicition and mental illness, I also know what it is like to face mental illness in a family member and attempt to navigate the confusing and fragmented mental health care system. I, too, have suffered from depression and wish to share with others what I have learned about treatment and recovery.
